We are dedicated to funding research that promises to impact the prevention, treatment and post-operative recovery for people with diseases of the head, neck, brain and spine.
Our research program is designed to:
- Seek out and examine under-funded areas of research that are relevant to the community of head, neck, brain and spine patients and provide clinically relevant research in those neglected areas.
- Develop strategic partnerships that will enhance research funding and provide greater visibility in the medical community.
- Share information and research results, through publishing and other venues, with the medical community, to increase awareness and disseminate relevant information where it can be utilized immediately.
- Simultaneously provide research results and promising information directly to patients in a clear, understandable language, to enhance their options for treatment.
- Work in partnership with other institutions to maximize research efforts for the benefit of producing tangible results for patients.
We are currently reviewing research topics and assessing needs in the expansion of our research program. We are, currently, focused on funding and developing the Laurie Cohn Prince Tumor Bank, a resource of live tissue that can be used to grow, study and treat tumors in the laboratory. We will be expanding the program to include other initiatives.
