We know that we have access to the best medical care in the world. Still, there are people in some parts of the U.S. and internationally that meet their diagnosis knowing that they do not live near a world class neurosurgeon or a state of the art hospital.
Part of our mission is to ensure that underserved populations around the world have access to appropriate treatment facilities, experienced and skilled medical staff and the benefit of life-enhancing support services.
Our international outreach program is designed to:
- Bring high tech medical equipment, obsolete and no longer used in Western medical institutions, to poverty stricken medical centers, desperately in need of appropriate technologies that will change the prognosis for their patients.
- Provide funding to transport high risk patients to appropriate medical facilities that can handle the demands of their case.
- Engage in strategic relationships with players that will donate used equipment, fund the transport of medical supplies and enrich the resources of struggling medical centers.
- Supply specific and highly specialized training to neurosurgeons working in poor, underserved populations, so that they can meet the demanding needs of their patients with challenging cases.
- Publicize our accomplishments, so that the media, the political community and the general public are informed about the lack of appropriate medical care around the world.
We are in the process of reviewing the needs of other medical centers internationally and preparing to expand the international outreach program into new frontiers.
